Meetings Africa at Sandton Convention Centre

Last week, we had the pleasure of once again exhibiting at Meetings Africa 2025, marking our 19th year of participation at this world-class showcase of business tourism and events on the continent. As always, it was an incredible opportunity to connect with our valued clients, meet new faces, and display the very latest in Event Technology and AV solutions.

From our roots in the events industry to today, Go Rentals has never missed a Meetings Africa show — and for good reason.

The events space is where we started. We understand the complexity of event delivery, and more importantly, the absolute necessity of getting it right the first time, on time, every time,” says Ron Keschner, our Sales and Marketing Director, based in Johannesburg.


A Showcase of Innovation and Simplicity

Our stand this year reflected our ongoing commitment to sustainability and smart design. Built entirely from reusable materials, we featured a 65” interactive touch display rolling reels of some of our latest work across conferences, trade shows, activations, and corporate events.

We were also proud to support the show itself, supplying technology infrastructure to organisers and exhibitors, including networking solutions, private internet, screens, tablets, and laptops, helping to keep everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.


Smarter Solutions. Lower Costs. Better Events.

While the past few years brought some challenges to the industry, Meetings Africa was a clear sign that events and business tourism are back in full swing — and South Africa remains a top destination.

There’s no doubt activity is picking up again,” says Ron. “We’ve invested heavily in next-generation AV technology — from state-of-the-art, compact sound systems to larger displays, modular staging, and interactive touch screens. But it’s not just about having the latest gear. It’s about making events easier, faster, and more cost-effective for our clients.

That’s why much of our investment has focused on creating plug-and-play solutions, reducing the complexity of setup and breakdown with more compact equipment that requires less time, less labour, and less transport — all of which means lower costs and fewer headaches for event planners and organisers.

We’ve even overhauled our flight cases,” adds Francouis Liebetrau, General Manager of our AV division in Cape Town. “Better protection means faster setups, safer transport, and more reliable delivery. It’s all part of making sure our clients’ events run smoothly from start to finish.

We were genuinely overwhelmed by the support at this year’s show, with hundreds of visitors from across South Africa and overseas stopping by our stand. The energy, enthusiasm, and optimism for the future of events were truly inspiring.
